Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Bloomington

Very comfortable room with all the amenities one expects for this price level. Service was good, especially the morning staff. The complimentary breakfast was very good, with some nice choices which is yet another very pleasant surprise. The facilities were well kept. All in all a very pleasant stay for me. The location was also perfect for my trip, just off the highway and with plenty of choices of dining all in within literally a few minutes drive, some even within walking distance . It will be my first choice for hotel whenever I pass through the area again in the future

I called in to make a reservation for a new employee I have. and Cameron helped me through the process he was wonderful. Very positive, and customer focused, super helpful. He made the whole process not only easy, but enjoyable.

First of all…. for the first time in a long time, I do not have any pics for my review. My wife and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Bloomington because it was one of the closest hotels we could find for graduation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The first night we got to the hotel, we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful person in the world working behind the desk. The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. Everything was great… But we woke up in a hurry in the morning… go to get in the shower… NO shower curtain! So we pointed the shower heads towards the wall and took our showers. On the way out, I told the morning lady at the front desk that we had no shower curtain… and the TV only got 3 channels. When we got back that night we went our room and there still wasn’t a shower curtain and the TV still only got 3 channels. So, I went downstairs and talked with another lady at the front desk. I told her what had happened. She apologized and said she will be right up with a shower curtain…. And fix the TV. 5 minutes later she knocked on the door with a new shower curtain. We hung it up (I had to help, she was vertically challenged ) Later that night I needed some bottled water. The elevator was out of order. So, I walked downstairs using the stairs. I could tell the lady at the front desk was not happy about the elevator, but never stopped smiling. I would give the guy that greeted us the first night and the lady that brought us our shower curtain and fixed the TV… 10 stars! Incredible customer service and they were happy, friendly, helpful… and smiled. The breakfast was delicious! They said they are getting ready for a huge remodel in June. I would highly recommend this hotel… especially if you like great service!

Had a bad experience at another hotel across the road checked out and came to the Fairfield at 10 Am to get a room. A very kind lady at the front desk helped me she could see I was very upset her name was Zaria. She was able to book me a room that I could have immediately. Not only did she do that for me she upgraded me as well. The understanding and kindness of this person really made my weekend. The hotel was clean and the beds were great. I booked another weekend with them as my daughter and her family moved there so I will be visiting quite often. The world needs more people like Zaria!!

We were on a road trip for my son’s Army graduation when flash floods and multiple traffic accidents brought everything to a standstill. Exhausted and stranded, we tried two different Hilton brand hotels, but both were shut down by a worldwide software outage. That’s when we found the Fairfield Inn in Bloomington, Illinois — and met the true star of our night: the incredible front desk host. From the moment we walked in, they greeted us with genuine warmth and understanding, instantly turning a stressful, chaotic travel day into something comforting and manageable. They got us checked in quickly, made sure we had everything we needed, and their kindness truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. The hotel itself is cozy, beautifully decorated, and feels more like a welcoming home than a stop along the road — but it was the compassion and professionalism at the front desk that made this stay unforgettable. What could have been the worst night of our trip became one of the best, thanks to them.

I have stayed here 3 times for a total of 9 days. This is an older Fairfield but well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is stuck in the covid years with the premade sandwiches and the awful turkey sausage. The breakfast needs a lot of work. The hotel is just off of the interstate but far enough away that you don't hear it. There are plenty of restaurants and a Walmart nearby. The standard rooms just got a large TV upgrade.

Love me some Marriott Properties. Always a first choice. How ever asked for a handicap room just for the higher toilets. That was not the case. a little disappointed.

Had two nights here with the hubby this past weekend to celebrate Valentine's. We had a blast! We only live about 30 minutes from here, and I chose this place since they have whirlpool suites. The first night was on a Friday (we didn't get there until 2am) and they were all booked up..so we stayed in a regular king suit, but got put on a reserve for whirlpool suite for the next night. Both days we had delayed checkout times for 1pm. Didn't know that was a thing! But our transition between rooms was flawless, and we were really able to enjoy our stay and get a little extra rest and relaxation time. The night shift staff was very nice and helpful! It was very clean and quiet here. Very close to town so you have all the convenience of attractions to go do stuff as well without lots of travel time. Can't wait to go back! My only recommendation is for the 3rd floor suite - better curtains. Only the sheer ones could be closed, it was too bright with parking lot lights then sunrise..lol. I did have two hair clips to be able to make shift close the inner ones to help cutout some of the light. (And extra privacy)

10++ Stars from Some Tough Little Critics! I took our grandsons on a little Veterans Day family visit and overnight getaway — and it couldn’t have been better! All of our family lives in Bloomington, so this was the perfect place to stay and visit everyone. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and everything was perfect! The kiddos insisted I share their ratings: •   The check-in lady: 10 stars! •   The pool: 10 stars! •   The room: 10 stars! •   The breakfast: 10++ stars! Thank you for making our quick getaway so relaxing and fun. These little guys are tough critics! Thank You!

The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to the highway and several restaurants and stores nearby (it is next to Walmart). The staff were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the free breakfast and the cleanliness of the room and common areas. The hotel seems renovated. The breakfast was good and met the usual Fairfield quality.
